Kim Delaney is an American actress best known as the character Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she won an Emmy Award. In addition, she was a part of dramas such as All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney was the only daughter of an United Auto Workers executive and his wife who was a housewife. Her upbringing was within a household that included four brothers.
